野に咲く花のように

Yesterday was Ryu's birthday, so Happy Birthday, Ryu！

There's some nice news from yesterday. Gackt performed at the Maiko High School graduation ceremony in Kobe. A student from the school wrote to him a couple of years ago (& it was mentioned on Gackt's radio show back then) telling him about the school. The students who graduated were doing an "environment and disaster mitigation course", which began in 2002 in response to the earthquake that occurred in that area in 1995. Gackt was living in Kyoto at the time, and he also had friends who were affected by it. The fan who wrote to him was asking for help at the graduation, and apparently Gackt said he would be there & sing for them, and yesterday he fulfilled his promise ^^

It was decided only 3 days ago that Gackt would perform there, and he stayed up all night to write a new song for it. It was a ballad called 「野に咲く花のように」 ('Like flowers blooming in a field'), and Gackt peformed it with You & Chacha playing guitar in the gymnasium at the school (wearing his all black outfit including long leather coat & sunglasses, according to the article ^^;). It sounds like it was a surprise performance, and that everyone there really enjoyed it. He's a very kind person ^^

There are articles at 日刊スポーツ (and it's also in the newspaper, according to the new 新聞 section at the Dears site) & Yahoo (it's the same article at both sites). Some of the lyrics are in the article, too: 「いつか見た夢の場所へ　たどり着くまであきらめないで　まだ名もない花だけど　決して負けず　強く咲きたい－」

I've been meaning to post about the Z Gundam 3 premiere event (「機動戦士Ｚガンダム～星の鼓動は愛～」プレミア試写会), which happened last Thursday. Gackt was there, along with Tomino & the voice actors:

Gackt was in a couple of magazines that came out yesterday: Fool's Mate, and Papyrus, which you've probably already seen. It looks interesting~


The Love Letter single is out today~ I think the songs have been re-recorded & sound a bit different, although I can't really explain how...

I think I only posted once last month, but I'll try to make a post soon about everything I've missed. I see that there are over 900 people reading this now, so thank you, people! ^^

He is so sweet and has such a big heart *gets all teary-eyed* ^_^;;
I just love him so much for his devotion to the fans! He always makes me want to be a better person.
btw is there any link so we can see/listen to the song he made? (cant read kanji =_=)

I think it's called 'no ni saku hana no you ni' ^^ There was something on the TV news about it, but I'm not sure if any of the song was played, and I haven't seen any videos online yet...

Aww~ That's really nice of him. I definetely would have been surprised if he shows up at my graduation. Then again, only about twelve people would know who he was.

Over 900 people? o_O That's a lot. Now you know how important your news is to us Gackt-fans. *always checks here every day for updates...and because my public speaking class asks me random questions about Gackt*
