Gackt's performance of 'kimi ni aitakute' on Mステ from Friday night is up now (video at inheavysyrup & audio at bunko). I really like the song, although I know a lot of people have been saying that it doesn't sound too good. He performed less than half of it (2:30 out of 5:29), and it probably wasn't his best performance ever. But don't be too hard on him; he knows when he doesn't do well, and he feels pretty bad about it. He wrote a diary entry at Dears this morning, apologising for his performance. It seems that he wasn't feeling very well, but he really wanted everyone to hear the new song. It'll be better next time, & he said we can look forward to that ^^;





These are in romaji because I can't write in Japanese on this computer >.> The lyrics are so simple... You can tell because I know all of the kanji :P

These didn't turn out very well, but I tried! For some reason, most of the videos I'm downloading lately don't seem to play properly on my computer...

Gackt talked about his 3 favourite love songs, which were 'suki' & 'Thank You' by Dreams Come True, and 'mou ichido kisu shitakatta' by B'z. Kouichi seemed to be the only one actually listening when Gackt talked ^^; Strangely, you could see Gackt's lips moving when the hosts were talking, as if he was talking or singing silently to himself (see the 3rd picture) ^^; It was just Gackt & You-kun on stage. And after he performed, you could see Gackt touching his throat as if it hurt >.>

I really like the new song too, actually. It has a very old, classic feel to it . It's pretty~ I hope he feels better today. Singing on a sore throat is bad. >.<;;

Wow...that's some pretty hair.

I liked the song more after actually watching the clip. Poor guy ^^, he tries so hard and yet he can't seem to please his fans.

I'm really looking forward to the single's release date. It sounds pretty so far, and I'm sure it'll be even better live when Gackt's back in top form.

I kinda like his hair too ^^ I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be wavy or just messy, but it looks good!

I like the song more after seeing the video, too. Somehow it just didn't sound as good in the mp3 version. I'm really looking forward to hearing the CD version of the song... It's not too far away now~

Hehe, I'm happy I realized to watch this on tv... you could really see him speaking something to himself o.O

The thing about this song hit me was that (atleast the shortened version of the song) didn't have a real climax part at all, it was just plain simple and quite easy. Usually his songs have a part like that. And if they don't, they're really amazing singing-wise from start to finish.

Beautiful Mika Nakashima looked so terrible in this special because of her witch-makeup :/

But even more terrible was Doumoto's performance and new song. I almost felt pity for him while listening to it. I wonder if he composed it himself. Yuck.

Haha... Poor Koichi is always at a lost for voice on 'live' performances. Sigh... But luckily, the song wasn't in anyway written by him. ^^

I love how Kimi ni Aitakute brings out the soft and nostalgic part of Gackt. It's tune is heart-warming in the season of autumn. And yeah, he's singing to himself & tapping a tune. Typical of a distracted Gackt. XD

he does look kinda out of it at the beginning there lol. i hope he feels better ^^ he tries so hard <3 i like his messy hair lately too :D and he's got the cutest smile ^^ so infectious~ and poor youkun looks so lonely there XD

When I first saw it, I didn't notice You was there cuz I was focusing on the lyrics at the bottom of the screen, and not paying close enough attention to the background *cough* ... plus the blue lights were kinda distracting from You, and put more focus on Gackt. Oh well, I'm glad to see he was there though... :)

Keke... Yeah, You did look kinda lonely in the white mist & such a distance from Gackt & the light. Gackt's sweet. Hope he is feeling loads better already. You can tell that he was frustrated with himself when his voice didn't come out the way he wanted. His smile is as beautiful and contagious as always. He dyed his hair back to the Asian black and I so love him in black & his eyes back his natural deep brown as well~! XD
By the way, Nakashima Miki always looked so cool & gorgeous in those dark colours.

I don't think I've ever actually seen Gackt with natural hair or eyes (except maybe in that high school picture) ^^;; It looks like he has dark brown hair here, and I think his eyes are still blue, although it's hard to see. His hair seems to be getting darker, though. It's not as reddish as it was a while ago.

Only reading the lyrics I got reminded of Last Song and Kimi no tame ni dekiru koto :) It would be interresting to actually go through all his songs and look for the most common phrases and themes in his songs. Loss of a loved one seems quite pre-dominant...

I've only heard the 10sec teaser of the song so far and the two chorus verses are already stuck in my head on repeat... :)

The lyrics remind me of a lot of other songs, actually ^^; I wouldn't say the song is a great literary masterpiece, but it almost seems to mean more this way, being simple & natural... I really like it ^^

I think 12gatsu might've been. I didn't see it myself, but people have been talking about it... The file is in 3 parts, & I only wanted to download the main part with Gackt, so I haven't seen the rest of the show ^^;

And poor Gackt. ;________; Everybody is used to the fact that gackt's performances are almost always perfect. But everybody can have bad days (he could have had a sore throat). *pets Gackt* He is so cute when he smiles. :)

Kouichi & Ayu & a lot of the other artists I watched on the show performed so badly compared to Gackt, yet he felt like he had to apologise... It really says a lot about him, I think. It's hard being a perfectionist; you just feel like you've let yourself & everyone else down when something like this happens. He seems to feel so bad about it, but it really wasn't such a big thing... I hope he's okay.

The last tour was really lovely~ ^.^

That man seriously needs to learn to just stop and take care of himself when he's sick. He's thoughtful and kind (especially with how he apologized to his fans for the performance, but still wanted to perform, anyway), but... he pushes himself way too far sometimes.

Gackt can't seem to stop >.> I guess it's hard when you have CDs to promote. It'd be okay for most people, but Gackt is really sick a lot of the time ;__; It sometimes makes me wonder whether there's something seriously wrong with him, but I really don't like to think about it.

I think he said in his diary that he suddenly lost his breath as the music was starting, and so when he had to start singing, it came out sounding a bit messy. Hopefully he'll be feeling better soon~

Thank you for posting the links and screencaps! I managed to catch the special when it aired, but after only 1 minute of Gackt's performance, I got a call from a friend and by the time I could get off, Gackt was long gone. T__T;; But I was in love with this song from the first couple lines, and even more so after getting the chance to hear the chorus again with the harmonies. *swoooon* I'm already counting down the days until the single comes out. ^___^;

It's a shame to hear Gackt wasn't feeling well (I missed the hand gesture to his throat as well as the rest of the show), but we all know how hard he is on himself. Hopefully he'll perform it again live and we can all swoon for that performance. ^__~ Thank you again!

It was such a long show; I don't know if I could've sat through the whole thing if I'd had to watch it on TV! I just skipped through the file until I found the part with Gackt, so I didn't really get to see him sitting there & looking bored for the rest of the show ^^;;

It is a lovely song. I think a lot of people are a bit disappointed with it, because it's just 'nice' and not really anything terribly moving or whatever. But I guess we can't expect every new song to be his best. I think it's fairly similar to Last Song, which I love, so I'm pretty happy with it ^^

He looks beautiful.. but has lost some of the glow from the previous performance :(.

THANK YOU for everything...really. I'm waiting for the MS live to download now so I can watch this properly. I heard the mp3, and I agree that he's not at his best but I absolutely adore that song, and I don't usually go for sappy ballads...but..it just sounds good XD.

just listen to the mp3. he kinda got out of sync or tune with the music T__T but then got on board again. overall i love the song, yes^^

a bit rough at the start, but .. compared to most of the acts I see on M Station, mediocre Gackt is still better then the average M Sta guest!

(then again, as a die-hard Hyde fan, I'm kinda forgiving about the going off flat/off key moment ^.~ )

I just watched it...aww Gackt. I love you even when you give crappy performances. I love his hair too! It suits him well. The song is pretty okay but I'd like to hear the bside more now. Only a couple more weeks! And smile more Gackt we love you :D

Awe, I wish he'd take a little breather if he's not feeling well. ;_; Better that he does that then become worse off.

On a superficial note, I'm not really digging the teased/curled hair that much. T.T but Gakkun has to experiment, I guess. XP
